Summary:

This ultra-thin and small laptop is the best portable computer our team has ever seen. It is not the most compact laptop, but it’s features are much better then 95% of the laptops we’ve seen in any size, weight and price range. Considering it’s weight of 3.7 pounds, it is hard to believe that it really does have all of these great features. This is another excellent example of a laptop that meets any requirements. By saying any, we really mean any.  It can be used for business, designing, gaming, entertainment purposes and/or everyday computing. It is stylish, lightweight and rather small in size (13.3-inches). It’s fast Intel Core i5-480M(2.66MHz) processor is one of the best mobile processors on the market. It is almost as fast as the as the ones within the majority of large desktop computers. There are only a few laptops that are under 14-inches, that have this processor.  Others, like Sony VAIO VPC-Z133GX/B 13.1″ either cost an arm and a leg or don’t include other high end hardware like this ASUS does. It’s 4GB DDR3(1066MHz) RAM is more than enough for absolutely any modern application. It’s NVIDIA GeForce 310M with 1GB dedicated memory is another unbelieveable element to this laptop. There are no better graphics on any other known laptops in this size range and only a few have such amazing graphics. You can even play the newest games with it without issues. Of course, if you maximize every feature in the game, it will slow down, but who is going to do that with a 13.3-inch display screen? Another cool fact about this laptop is the NVIDIA Optimus technology.  It allows you to conserve battery life by working with Intel HD graphics when doing simple tasks and switching to NVIDIA GeForce 310M when you need the highest graphics performance. Unlike other laptops, with such high-performing hardware, it won’t overheat much, which translates into a safer performance.

The bottom line:

This laptop is not the smallest one, but it’s weight (3.7 pounds) makes it portable enough to carry anywhere easily. This laptop’s hardware is incredible. We rated this laptop as the number one within the portable laptop category due to it’s unbeleiveable performance. We believe this laptop is the best portable laptop in 2011. This ASUS will optimumly perform for any purpose that is needed. The sleek design also makes it contemporary looking and easy to carry.  If you are searching for a reliable, extremly high-performing and compact laptop, this one’s for you.
